Performance Evaluation of Interference Between Bluetooth Networks using Bit Error Rate
نویسنده
چکیده
Bluetooth can form many piconets and scatternets within close proximity. This network topology can cause self channel interferences. As the interference increases, the performance will be degraded. The effect of interference is critical when a lot of Bluetooth networks coexist. In this paper, the performances of Bluetooth networks under interference is analyzed and simulated using the concept of bit error rate(BER).

Coexistence of IEEE 802.11b and Bluetooth: An Integrated Performance Analysis
IEEE 802.11b wireless networks and Bluetooth networks provide complimentary services using the same unlicensed radio frequency band. As the benefits of utilizing these services become increasingly apparent, the likelihood of mutual interference also increases. The wellknown frequency hopping algorithm and adaptive frequency hopping algorithm do not fully consider the interference level of the o...

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...

IEEE 802.11b WLAN (Wi-Fi) and IEEE 802.15.1 WPAN (Bluetooth) are popular wireless emerging technologies. These technologies migrates wired system applications into the wireless domain. Applications includes, computing, sensing, and communication. Growth in ...
متن کاملPacket Error Rate Performance of IEEE802.11g under Bluetooth Interface
This paper approaches the issues concerning the coexistence of the IEEE 802.11g wireless networks and the ad-hoc Bluetooth networks that operate within the same 2.4 GHz band. The performance of 802.11g is evaluated by simulating the PER (Packet Error Rate) parameter and coverage area. The simulation experiments are based on the worst case scenario presumption, which entails the transmission of ...
متن کاملPerformance of the Bluetooth System in Fading Dispersive Channels and Interference
Abstract— A noncoherent limiter-discriminator receiver is often considered for the Bluetooth system because of its simplicity and low cost. While its performance is more than adequate for some channels, the results are significantly degraded in either an interference-limited environment or a frequency selective channel. In this paper, we compare the performance of the traditional limiter-discri...
